Samsung T401G does not display txt msg sender name/number

I am a Net10 customer and just bought a "Net10" Samsung T401G that says "tracfone" when I power it off and on.

My problem is that the phone does not display the sender's name or number when I receive a text message until AFTER I open the message and minutes are deducted.

All of my other Net10 phone have displayed txt msge sender's name or number.

Net10 says this is a feature of the phone. which is unacceptable for me.

Does anyone have a solutions
