sat nav for mothers

my mum wants sat nav, needs to be easy to read for when she forget her specs (nearly all the time coz she doesnt ike wearing them) and easy to use (she has issues with working out how to make her blu ray dvd player work sometimes, like which channel to put it on) and easy to follow (she has no sense of direction, so none of this bear left when they mean turn left, nor go north, or anything vague like that).
what do you guys recommend?

shes going on about her friends sat nav (navman or garmin or something, its like shes combinding two brands!) that shes quite sure has a hardware keyboard rather than touch screen...
anyone know what shes talking about?
